Team Coordinator



My client is the leading UK fish and seafood processor, providing frozen and chilled, branded and retailer branded fish.

Job Purpose

To effectively co-ordinate resources to achieve conformance to maximise operational efficiencies whilst maintaining best possible standards in terms of Safety, Hygiene, Quality, Food Safety, Legality, Quantity and Cost.

Key Accountabilities

* To take full responsibility and accountability for everything that happens within a designated area / line.
* To be accountable for all issues relating to Safety, Hygiene, Quality, Food Safety, Legality, Quantity and Cost.
* Ensure area achievement of all relevant KPI's, including appropriate absence management through effective resourcing and taking corrective action.
* Conformance to management control and reporting systems
* Identification and implementation of continuous improvement areas.
* To actively ensure that the Production Operatives / Skilled Operatives and Key Operatives have the relevant skills and knowledge to maximise operational performance.
* To develop, motivate and encourage all Team members to participate and contribute fully within the effective performance of the factory
* To carry out performance reviews on immediate team.
* Ensure effective communication processes are operating within the factory.
* Adhere to and conform with all company policies and procedures.
* To manage all team members in an effective, professional manner.
* Ensure swift product changeovers through preparation, organisation and forward planning
* Conduct an effective handover at the beginning and end of every working pattern
* To drive and install a Manufacturing Excellence culture.

Skills and Experience Required

* An ability to prioritise, plan, interpret and monitor performance
* Experience of steering/leading teams
* Familiar with the food industry and may have worked in a similar role
* Knowledge of hygiene, safety, food safety, legality, quantity and cost
* Familiar with food industry standards, policies, procedures and legal requirements
