Technical Project Manager - Minimum 3 month contract with the possibility of extending

Brook Street is happy to be working in conjunction with a leading event production company. Our client is highly regarded and works with top marketing agencies and events for the world's most famous brands. Our client is looking for a new Technical Project Manager to join their team and work with some of their most prestigious clients.

To succeed in this role you must be a forward-thinker with a positive can-do attitude. You must also be able to communicate at all levels and have the ability to understand the client's needs, working quickly to provide ideas and solutions. As you will be the face of the company it is important that you have a professional manner and instil confidence in your client.

The role of a Technical Project Manager includes the management and delivery of projects from brief and quotation stages, right through to the execution and aftercare. Account management is key to the role, with client meeting attendance, site checks and service delivery being of paramount importance.

Role requirements

* You will have extensive practical knowledge/experience working in the events industry and be able to evidence your client relationship experience.
* Be able to demonstrate good internal and external communication skills.
* Must have the ability to own projects and manage them from design to completion.
* Use of Vectorworks drawing package.
* A clean driving licence is required as the ability to travel is essential.


* Take responsibility for projects that are both pre-costed and at brief level.
* Find appropriate and suitable solutions with the support of the wider team.
* Undertake site visits - meeting clients and agreeing best way forward and also creating potential opportunities
* Utilise project management tools - timelines, toolbox talk documents (training provided).
* Input jobs to our job costing system.
* Job pack creation, (instructions to build crew) - follow process and rule.
* Load Lists, (stands that are loaded on to vans) - checked and thorough.
* Installation and derigs - Being present on site to direct and manage your own projects.
* Hands on approach with a high standard of technical ability, carpentry, stand build.
* Vendor control, timeline costs and quality checks.
* Quote preparation, invoicing, budgetary control and month end reconciliation.
* Awareness of our capability, use of blogs, social media.
* Email and phone calls, responding in an appropriate and professional fashion.
* Develop a full understanding of Health and Safety statements - demonstrating on-site safety and duty of care for others and self.
