Senior Data Warehouse Developer - Teradata databases - ETL frameworks - Shell scripting - Transactional management - Physical data modelling & analysis - Data consistency & integrity - Parallel processing - Oracle - PL/SQL- Senior Data Warehouse Developer.

Senior Data Warehouse Developer for prestigious financial organisation based near Watford, Hertfordshire. The main purpose of the role is to design and develop solutions based on the Teradata data warehouse and using source as Oracle DB and other RDMS.

Duties Include:

    Responsible for developing code to meet the requirements of scheduled work packages.To develop code in accordance with defined the company quality and coding standards.To contribute input into cost estimate breakdowns for solutions.Provide technical inputs to support business units as required.Identify opportunities to strengthen departmental processes, standards, tools and ways of working.
Skills Required:

    Experience of Teradata databases – expert levelGood skills in ETL frameworks / Shell scripting / Transactional management / Physical data modelling and analysis / Data consistency and integrity / Managing and releasing database changes /Parallel processing.Excellent Oracle & PL/SQL experience.Proven experience on using Agile (Srcum) methodology.Experience in the full lifecycle of software development (inception to transition/Live).Object-Orientated Analysis and Design principles Waterfall.Previous experience in developing high performing data warehouses supporting data scientists/analysts in a commercial setting.Ability to analyse and solve system defects, needing help to address high priority issues.Able to correctly implement the defined functionality, and use existing frameworks.Experience in contributing/reviewing technical design documentation.Able to communicate effectively in workshop discussions, and seek clarity when necessary.Able to grasp new technical and business knowledge with some mentoring.Able to work as part of a team, and resolve most local issues on their own with limited support when instructions are given.Payments industry/Banking experience desirable.
