Job Title: Director of Finance & Resources Hours: Full time/ permanent 37.5 hours per week Salary: Circa £65k Location: Sutton, Surrey We are working in partnership with St Raphael's Hospice which provides hospice and palliative care to the people of the London Boroughs of Sutton and Merton. St Raphael's Hospice which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, is now entering a significant and challenging phase. The Hospice which is currently part of the Congregation of the Daughters of the Cross of Liège, the plan is for it to become an independent, stand-alone charity. This is an exciting time for St Raphael's Hospice. The charity is now seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to be its first Director of Finance & Resources. The successful candidate will perform a key role in establishing the hospice as an independent charity. Working with the Chief Executive, you will lead on all governance, contractual and financial arrangements during this process. You will be responsible for the Finance, IT, Facilities and HR functions on an ongoing basis. The successful individual will be fully qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA and will demonstrate: Extensive financial expertise and business acumen Ability to control the finances of the hospice and to ensure effective controls within the organisation Experience in leadership roles at Director or Senior Manager level Management experience including non-financial teams Strategy development experience Extensive experience of planning, budgeting and development of management reporting. We are seeking an articulate, personable and highly capable individual; with a collaborative approach to work effectively with other Directors as a member of the SMT, and staff at all levels. Whilst desirable, experience of the charity sector will be secondary to a demonstrable track record of financial and business expertise.
