Services Manager A life-changing opportunity Our client is the UK's leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. Position: Services Manager Location: Trafford (role covers Manchester, Salford and Trafford) Contract type: Fixed Term - ends 31 January 2019 (maternity cover) Hours: 35 per week Salary: £27,782 per annum Closing date: 12 noon on 15th February 2018 Interview date: 26th February About the role: They are looking for an exceptional manager who will be able to hit the ground running. With excellent communication and people skills you will be responsible for services, staff and volunteers across Manchester, Salford and Trafford. You will manage and support the delivery of services that meet the needs of people affected by dementia and comply with quality, legislative and financial requirements. You will be pivotal to ensuring local contractual agreements are adhered to and the organisation's profile and reputation are supported and managed. Maintaining strong relationships with local commissioners and other relevant organisations will be key. You will be responsible for budgets for all the services in your area, making sure that contractual agreements are adhered to and that every service complies with policies and the required standards. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to grant applications, tender submissions and the planning for new services. You will act as an ambassador to help raise awareness of dementia and promote the organisation' work on a local and national level. A strong track record of leading, motivating and developing a team is essential, and you will be comfortable working collaboratively across departments, as part of an enthusiastic and dynamic wider Greater Manchester team. About you: Educated to QCF/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject, you will need experience of managing services in health or social care setting and delivering them within a quality assurance framework. Through their people they must reach out to and deliver the best possible outcomes for people affected by dementia. Therefore they are looking for someone who can manage and maintain a passionate and knowledgeable team and appreciates the value of volunteers within a service delivery environment.
