Part Time Accounts Assistant / Office Administrator

£14,000 -15,000 per annum DOE (25 hours per week) + Benefits

This varied role is an excellent opportunity for you to train and develop within a fast-moving, global company, working with high profile customers.

Accountabilities:

+ Maintaining supplier accounts
+ Processing supplier invoices in Sage and ensuring timely payment
+ Processing employee expense claims and pre-paid credit cards
+ Posting bank transactions in Sage and reconciling the bank account
+ Raising internal sales invoices
+ Assist with raising of purchase orders and general office administrative duties
+ Maintaining office insurances, policies and documentation
+ Booking staff travel
+ Manage correspondence by responding to emails and telephone calls
+ Ordering of products/services and goods
The above requires a flexible and proactive approach as not all activity will be documented due to the business having constantly changing requirements.

Education & Skills Required:

+ 5+ years practical accounting experience, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank and general ledger; no qualification expected (qualification by experience more important), though AAT would be a bonus
+ Experience of running a payroll is essential in order to provide back-up for the finance controller
+ Knowledge of and experience in using Sage 50 accounts would be a major advantage
+ Experience of dealing with suppliers and customers, with good written and oral communication skills
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills using own initiative
+ Experience of working in a fast-paced office environment with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at any one time
+ Excellent organisational skills
+ Knowledge of Windows 10, MS Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook 2010

Remuneration Package:

+ Hours of work: 9:30 to 14:30 - Monday – Friday (25 hours)
+ £14,000 -£15,000 per annum DOE
+ Discretionary bonus based on company performance
