We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and versatile accounts assistant looking for a varied role with a successful local business.

Key responsibilities:

* Coding and posting purchase ledger invoices
* Posting costs accurately across a number of projects / countries / currencies / entities
* Reconciling bank accounts in multiple currencies
* Raising and posting recharge invoices
* Checking invoices against POs
* Uploading payment files to online banking
* Handling subcontractor invoices and timesheets
* Completing monthly and ad-hoc payment runs by set deadlines
* Month end processes including

* Calculation and entry of prepayments and accruals
* Journals
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Monthly cost reports

Key requirements:

* At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and manage own workload
* Good Excel skills
* Adaptable and able to pick up new software with ease
* Experience of Epicor and / or Earnie, as well as working with expenses, VAT and the HMRC would be advantageous

This is a full-time six-month assignment for the right candidate, with the potential to convert to a permanent position at a later date.

Hourly rate: around £12-15ph depending on experience
