Pensions Projects & Transitions Manager - Edinburgh

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced DC pensions administration professional to join our Pensions and Benefits area of Capita HR Solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior DC pensions administrator looking for their next step up. Within this role, you will lead from the front and develop a small team of pensions analysts within a dynamic administration function that is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our client, a global blue-chip financial services company.

About the role

Within this role you will be responsible for managing various complex projects simultaneously, working very closely with the Pension & Benefits Manager and Team Leader. You will be required to transform business requirements into detailed system specifications and to ensure that system developments fulfil business requirements. Reporting to the Pension & Benefits Manager you will be responsible for providing a high quality service to our client. You will have the confidence and gravitas to confidently deal with senior stakeholders, keeping them updated and responding to their needs

This is a progressive role requiring advanced Excel skills, a keen eye for process improvements, while being comfortable supporting, training and developing less experienced members of the team.

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to present key information to senior stakeholders. Team orientated, with a logical approach to problem solving, as well as being flexible with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

The ideal candidate will already be working within a Defined Contributions (DC) pensions administration role. While project management experience would be highly advantageous, this role can also be viewed as a developmental position - as long as the DC pensions knowledge is firmly in place, we are willing to develop and upskill an individual with regards to the project management aspects of the role.
