Spire prefer theatre staff to be as multi-skilled as possible, so ideally you will be able to work across scrub, anesthetics and/or recovery, but many colleagues specialise in just one or two areas. Most importantly, is that Theatre Nurses/ODPs are experienced in a variety of surgical procedures, or are willing to learn new procedures and techniques under expert supervision.
Many Spire Theatre Nurses/ODPs have gone on to secure Theatre Team Leader and Theatre Manager posts and the culture is one that encourages these ambitions.
