In order to be successful this position, the Registered Nurse (RGN) must possess and keep up to date evidence based clinical knowledge in relation to client groups cared for within the Home.
Due to the nature of the work involved, it's important to our core values that all Nurses and Nursing staff are fully able to communicate at appropriate levels with all residents, relatives, staff, other professionals and outside agencies involved in the care of the clients, in order for everyone in the relationship to feel listened to and part of the care provided.

This nursing position is one of authority and it's essential that the post holder have the knowledge in order to make research based decisions regarding nursing care needs and to execute those decisions in a practical and methodical manner.
Due to the nature of the role and the care needs of clients, a flexible approach to working hours would be appreciated.
As a professional in your field, the Teaching and facilitating the learning for all unqualified care staff will also be required from time to time to ensure the quality standards of the Care Home are met and to help progress the knowledge and professionalism of all unqualified staff.
It is also extremely important to able at all times, to audit the care delivered to his/her clients ensuring that all their needs are met throughout their stay.
We are a role your sleeves up and join in type of employer and as a senior member of the team, there will be the need to deputise for the Home Manager on occasion and to carry out other responsibilities in order to ensure the smooth running of the Care Home at all times.
Typically, the nursing team would be looking after clients with the following conditions and it's important that you're able to demonstrate your knowledge in these areas:-
Skin Integrity ( pressure wounds, dressings etc )
Medication Management
Chronic Disease management ( diabetes,dementia,heart disease etc )
It's vital to the success of the Home and it's clients for the Nurse to work closely with the Home Manager and keep them informed of any changes in the need of resources.
