Outpatients Clinical ManagerFull TimeCentral LondonSalary up to £38,000I am working with an industry leading private healthcare providor who is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care and is actively looking for a Outpatient Manager to join them and continue to offer this level of service. The Outpatients department has recently implemented new ways of working to improve quality, efficiency and patient experience. The new Clinical Manager will be an integral part of the continued expansion of Outpatients, while ensuring high quality, safe and effective care is delivered to patients across all Outpatients settings.We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, reliable and motivated individual to manage our growing department. You will be responsible for leading and managing the Outpatient clinical services team. You must be committed to improving patient experience whilst demonstrating an ability to influence practice and improve standards.This position is offering hours Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00Report to:Operations Manager / MatronResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Establish and maintain professional working relationships with all patients, relatives, staff and consultants.To carry out direct outpatient care within the Consulting rooms.To be proactive and take ownership of the outpatient clinical team to ensure a positive experience for all patients and consultants using the facilities.To provide clinical and professional leadership to the clinical team within the outpatient department providing day-to-day management of the department ensuring that all staff who work within the service have the competence, training and skill set to adequately carry out the roles required of them and highlight training gaps and needs.To ensure that hospital policies and procedures are adhered to, and that the highest professional standards are upheld by all the staff.Ensure that systems are in place for the collection and collation of clinic data and charges to ensure the monitoring and billing of clinics are correctEnsure that all clinical and legal documents are completed accurately and legibly. Document direct patient care provided in letter format or on the appropriate ICP ensuring copies are sent to consultant and medical records where necessary.Monitor clinical records standards within departmentInput information and have a working knowledge of the hospital information systemsSupport the Business Manager to ensure the room booking system and clinic schedules are maintained and up to date.The ideal candidate will have:-Current professional registration with the NMC (ie: current pin)A strong clinical background in an acute Outpatient environmentExperience of leading a specialist clinical team, eg medical patients, orthopaedicsDemonstrable people management skills and experienceExperience in the management of rotas, budgets, clinical audit and root cause analysisA comprehensive understanding of relevant professional care / practice standardsExcellent communication skillsEffective presentation and IT (Microsoft Office) skillsA good standard of general education including relevant clinical qualificationsILS, AIMS, ENB 998 or equivalent and a Diploma/Degree in a health related subjectFor more information and or to apply please call Jenna O'Rourke on 01489 774208 and or email jenna.orourke@appointgroup.co.uk
