An independent, full-service B2B marketing agency, based in Cheshire, is looking for an experienced web developer to join their digital team. You will work across a mix of B2B and corporate sectors, which can be one-off campaigns as well as large-scale retained marketing projects.

The role

Supporting the head of web development, you will assist on a range of projects and be hands-on to provide technical support to clients and colleagues and work closely with the agency's external web hosting company to manage maintenance and security. Your role will include managing support queries, debugging and helping to develop projects and complete regular tasks for some of the agencies retained clients. Overall the role will be really varied as you will supporting the wider marketing teams to build websites, and colleagues in the technical delivery of online marketing activity. You will also ensure performance and the security of all client websites including implementing WordPress upgrades and updates.

What we're looking for

You will ideally be a junior developer looking for that next step up or be more experienced and looking to join a friendly team in a pleasant working environment. It is essential that you have technical competence in web design and build including excellent knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3. You will have knowledge of responsive web development framework, PHP, Javascript, Sass and Git Source control and working knowledge of server management - (cPanel, PHP, MyAdmin etc.) would be an advantage. Although skills and technical experience are important for this role the agency is looking for someone with the right attitude and personality to fit into their team.

What's on offer?

Salary is dependent on experience for this role but will range between £22,000 and £26,000 per annum. In addition, you will be joining an agency which has an excellent reputation for the training and development and at this level will have a chance to really progress.
