Facilities and Health and Safety Co-Ordinator
Head Office – Newbury

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
Salary: Starting salary £23,400 per annum

We are looking for a Facilities and Health & Safety Co-Ordinator to support the Premises and Facilities Manager in the administration and management of Health and Safety across a portfolio of 10 Branches, Head Office and two storage units, participate in the implementation of a new facilities management system, and maintain regular and effective communication with internal colleagues in the Premises team and across the business

Reporting to the Premises & Facilities Manager, the key responsibilities of this role are:

• Monitoring results of Health & Safety audits and inspections, action items and progressing to completion.
• Preparing data for inclusion in management reports and regular progress reports.
• Developing briefs, obtaining and reviewing quotations for services and remedial works, and submitting them to the Premises & Facilities Manager / Head of Premises for approval.
• Ensuring contractors are briefed, managed and that documentation specifying works to be undertaken is representative of the work to be carried out and that risk assessments and methods statements have been submitted and approved.
• Completing administrative tasks as required, to support the Facilities Manager.
• Supporting Premises with the implementation of a facilities management system to include data capture, uploading of information and documentation for assets and planned maintenance schedules.

Essential criteria for the role are:

• Good standard of general education (GCSE English and Maths grade C or equivalent)
• Computer literate - competent in using Microsoft Office packages particularly Excel, to produce management information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Active team player, who shares information with colleagues and internal customers via team meetings, databases, filing systems, etc.
• Full, valid driving licence.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Customer focused.
• Confident, tactful, diplomatic
Desirable criteria for the role are:
• Previous knowledge and experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential
• Relevant qualification, IOSH or equivalent, is desirable though not essential
