Patent Administrator - South East Cambridge An outstanding opportunity at the leading multinational pharmaceutical organisation. We are seeking an experienced Patent Administrator to join the company's in-house IP department and support the growing team of Patent Attorneys. Location: South East Cambridgeshire - suitable for someone residing in Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Huntingdonshire, Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Cambridge or for someone looking to relocate. Salary: £30k per annum Role Summary: * Process incoming post to ensure that all data is recorded timeously, including relevant deadlines * Generate and forward documentation to external agents, obtaining signatures from various parties, internally and externally * Electronic filing of correspondence * Monitor due-date/reminder lists and follow up as required, working with attorneys when necessary * Liaise with external parties to resolve queries or obtain instructions * Access external information sources to check and retrieve relevant information such as patent specifications, conference posters, prior art and journal articles * Work in compliance with the company's quality management systems and policies * Case Administration - record events and process documentation, sending out appropriate reminders and ensuring case record information is up to date and accurate * Filing - prepare and officially file applications, instructing US and European attorneys * Post Filing - obtain and submit all documentation required to progress a filed application * Information Disclosure Statement (IDS) - gather and collate prior art documents and forward to patent offices or foreign associates Key Requirements * The ideal candidate should be CIPA qualified although those with extensive IP administration or IP secretarial experience will be considered * Experience of managing IP portfolios, use of a data management system, liaising with attorneys, preparing various patent documentation and online filings * Excellent IT skills - ability to use standard office packages including MS Office and Outlook * Previous experience of Espacenet, IPSUM, US PAIR, EPOline, LexisNexis would be advantageous Patent Administrator, Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Huntingdonshire, Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Cambridge
