My client is a world leading company of industrial engineering experts specialising in the design, supply and service.

A privately owned business, successfully established since 1973 they have continually progressed in stature, size and turnover based mainly on worldwide markets and export over 85% of our turnover.

They have won the Queen’s Award for Export three times.

Job specification

Manage the UK Customer Service and Service Department, with 5 reportees

Manage the handling of client enquiries from sales enquiry, preparation of estimates, tenders, specifications through to warranty provision and regular servicing

Monitor the progress of all Service Projects to ensure delivery schedules are on target and budgets are being met.

Manage the Service Department budget.

Work closely with the Director of Services to implement new processes for delivery of excellent customer service.

Work with the Sales and Service Department to maximise the performance a company-wide CRM system.

Performance Management for Service Department staff (including staff appraisals)

Liaise with Accounts department to progress financial payments (letter of credit requirements, credit worthiness checks etc).

Liaise with the Dubai office to optimise use of Service Department resource department across the world.

Liaise with department heads (Mechanical, Systems and Contracts) to ensure accurate and timely responses to client enquiries.

Customer feedback on products are shared with the Engineering Departments.

Liaison with the Engineering Department to ensure a seamless transition from engineering support on a contract to service support at the agreed date.

Ensure all admin tasks are completed on time and to the required standard. These to include collection and submission of all Service Department Personnel timesheets and expenses on a weekly basis as required by the Accounts Department.

Assist in preparation of Service Department targets and budgets.

Assist in identifying client’s needs and identifying products to satisfy these requirements.

Person Specification

Candidates should be ideally qualified to HNC level,
Engineering background with several years’ experience in the Service industry.
Well organized and ambitious
Flexible - can work under pressure.
Good project management skills
Enthusiastic attitude towards the sales process

37 hours per week

My client will provide a good working package including private medical insurance, and pension scheme and lap top computer. You will also be eligible for the company wide profit related pay bonus scheme.
