EDITORIAL MANAGER – Guildford
Responsibilities include: Managing a team of medical editors to ensure efficient delivery of high quality materials, incorporating regular performance and development review. Content review and editorial sign-off for entire range of materials, including both pre-creative sign-off and final sign-off. Coordination with account management team for messaging/compliance sign off. Coordination of budgets and timelines with account management team. Strategic content input during client interactions. Representing the company at events and client meetings. Managing resourcing and training requirements both within the team and, with the other Scientific Team Leaders, across teams. Scheduling work with Creative and Digital teams. Communicating effectively with all departments and senior management, and proactively seeking ways to improve efficiency or quality to achieve team goals. Having in-depth understanding of several therapeutic areas, and offering scientific leadership and support for members of the content team. Providing input to project proposals and attending pitches as required to secure new business and grow existing accounts. Experience/skills: Excellent editorial skills. Team management. Proven organisational and planning abilities. Proactivity and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Appropriate industry experience, ideally in an agency environment. Experience of broad range of medical education activities across the full range of media. Presentation skills.
