We are looking for head of digital marketing to join a fast growing regulated e-commerce online pharmacy and doctor service. You will be at the frontline of the emerging fast paced digital healthcare sector.

Whilst this is a diverse and broad role we are specifically looking for somebody who came up from an SEO background, as SEO will be the core focus. We are looking to dramatically increase our presence online and we need a creative SEO to make that happen.

We have made the salary a wide range from £35,000 to £60,000, depending on experience, as we recognise that there are many people with a diverse range of skills.

This is an opportunity to take on a very broad in-house role and effectively build your own department. Reporting directly to the marketing director you will be responsible for the entire online marketing operation, with the exception of Adwords/Bing PPC, for a fast-growing £5 million a year turnover e-commerce company which wants to get to £10 million a year within 2 years. If you want a broad experience of everything it takes to run a successful e-commerce business, then this role is for you.

Whilst primarily we are looking for an experienced SEO with demonstrable experience creatively getting links and coverage for e-commerce sites, you will also have strong knowledge and understanding of CRO and UX. You will be responsible for multiple healthcare e-commerce websites and doing everything you can to ensure they are functioning correctly and that the conversion rate is on the up. Knowledge of Magento and Wordpress, while not required, will be an advantage.

Most suited to a creative digital marketer, rather than a very narrow agency role this is a very broad in house role with the freedom to use all of your creativity to develop innovative strategies. You will develop and execute SEO strategy and also be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various digital marketing projects, from SEO, to content marketing, to link building, to social, to A/B testing landing pages, to CRO and UX projects. We want to hear from you what you will do to grow the business and hit our turnover targets, and we will give you the freedom to go and do it rather than have you stuck in the same old boring agency role.

Key responsibilities

·Work with staff and external developers on the usability, design, maintenance, and content of the company websites.

·Develop and execute innovative SEO and digital strategy to drive traffic, revenue and new customer acquisition

·Measure, track, report, and analyse marketing campaigns

·Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing

·Competitor research and analysis

Minimum Requirements

5+ years agency experience

Understanding of SEO, Google Analytics. Excellent organization and time management skills Communication and team management skills

Solid IT and Computer skills

Must be an excellent communicator


·Some understanding of HTML and CSS, and CMS technologies such as WordPress and Magento would be desirable but not essential

·Be able to work on your own initiative and react quickly to the changing market.

·Be able to provide examples of any web related work such as web projects, web promotion etc.
