Lloyd’s syndicate are seeking a Company Secretarial Assistant support to the Group Company Secretary and Deputy Company Secretary in carrying out all the responsibilities of the department.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within a Company Secretarial department and will be working towards/graduated in their ICSA certification. This role would suit someone who is looking to join the profession to build their technical experience and enjoys working in a fast paced, varied working environment.

The successful candidate will play an active role in providing a consistently high level of administrative services to the organisation and projecting a professional and positive image of the department and governance as a whole.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support, including diary management, filing, invoices, expenses, mailings, couriers and printing.
  • Proactively support the Company Secretarial Team in providing company secretarial services to the Group of companies and ensure compliance with UK and overseas statutory and regulatory requirements, including the Companies Act 2006 (PRA, FCA and Lloyd’s requirements); as well as ensuring compliance with the Group’s own Corporate Governance and Internal Control Framework.
  • Maintain and update the Company Registers and Blueprint for all subsidiary companies and copy Company Books for the overseas subsidiaries.
  • Arrange and administer board and committee meetings within the corporate governance structure including regular recurring meetings and ‘ad hoc’ meetings.
  • Maintain the integrity of the board/committee meeting calendar.
  • Maintain the Company Secretariat intranet page.
  • Take responsibility for the collation, binding and despatch of board and committee packs.
  • Provide front of house services to external and internal clients.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required.
  • Under supervision, prepare statutory paperwork for subsidiary company administration.
