Our client based in Shepton Mallet is looking for an Audit/Accounts Semi-Senior to join their busy team.

Duties include:

* Working as Audit assistant for company & charity clients - some away stays will be required
* Accounts preparation and analysis from a range of different sources - manual & computerised for clients of the business.
* Calculation of adjusted profits and capital allowances claims as well as basic tax return preparation work.
* Management Accounts preparation and interpretation.
* Client meetings, liaison with clients and report writing/letter writing as necessary.
* Use of house accounts preparation software and use of industry standard and bespoke bookkeeping and payroll packages, products including SAGE, Xero and Quickbooks.
* Use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and scheduling.
* Installation and upgrade of in house and client Sage 50 packages.

Essential Skills:

* AAT qualified/part qualified (minimum)
* Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Thorough knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts
* Basic IT knowledge.

Professional Training:

The role requires successful completion of professional examinations and continuing study to improve and maintain professional education at the same time as the practical work requirement. For part qualified candidates, all initial attempts at professional papers are fully funded and paid study leave provided to facilitate successful technical development.

Ongoing Continuing Professional Development is funded by the practice.

Benefits:

Salary £15,000 - £20,000 per annum dependant on qualifications and experience. Working 35 hours per week. Holiday 28 days including Bank Holidays, Pension and PHI after successful completion of probationary period.
