Assistant Management Accountant

You will work within a small accounts team which is responsible for all financial processes for the group.
The successful candidate will be a positive, caring team player, who takes responsibility; and takes the work seriously, without taking themselves too seriously.
Your duties will include purchase, sale and nominal ledger, assisting in the monthly and annual accounts. Full support will be provided to help you advance your skillset and acquire further qualifications.

You will work alongside the Financial Controller.

Job responsibilities
* Purchase ledger and sales ledger
* Job costing
* Monthly journals
* Credit card statement petty cash
* Checking prepayments/accruals
* Maintaining fixed asset register
* Bank reconciliation
* Profit and loss/balance sheet reports
* Daily bank reconciliation
* Online banking
* BACS payments
* Payroll relief
* Weekly management stats
* Analysis work
* Projects

Other ad-hoc duties include:
* Handling post
* Answering incoming phone calls
* Dealing with office visitors

Ideal Candidate

* Ideally qualified or nearly qualified.
* Experience of the Pegasus accounts package would be an advantage but not essential.
* Confident in conversing with the CEO and other members of the senior management team.
* Experience of project work would be desirable
