We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to become a crucial member of the project team working with a strategically important and high profile client in the nuclear industry.

If successful, you will be responsible for the successful mobilisation and management of a newly-formed training services operation, which is dedicated to an existing this major customer in the nuclear industry. This role will act as a single point of contact to the customer ensuring all KPIs and services are achieved in line with both the contract and customer expectations.

The nature of this role means that the activities / responsibilities have a crucial impact on the success of this contract. Some of the major tasks include –
• Ensure operation is mobilised and delivered in line with contractual KPIs
• Deliver service profitability in line with budget, whilst maintaining flexibility to meet customer needs.
• Identify, maintain and execute a pipeline of L&D projects that supports the customer’s long term resourcing requirements
• Create and drive forward a strategic partnership culture across all customer and supplier stakeholder groups
• Engage with the staff and teams in the wider Babcock Group to deliver against the L&D project requirement
• Develop robust management information

This would potentially suit a senior / experienced contract manager with experience in large scale complex commercial construction projects. It would also be advantageous for candidates to have public sector project experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience within –
• Management of complex outsourced services
• Experience within the Nuclear or relevant safety critical industry
• Management and delivery of training consultancy, design & development projects

Applications are encouraged from those with a deep commercial focus/ awareness including PnL, experience of project/ contract management at an operational level and ideally from a relevant commercial background with a passion to move the business forward.

As a key member of the team on this highly visible project the successful candidate will be expected to –
• Develop & maintain strong stakeholder influencing and management
• Focus on strong service, project and programme management within all aspects of the project
• Ability to effectively manage people to deliver against objectives
• Ensure that you maintain clear communications with internal & external stakeholders
• Demonstrate the ability to take the initiative, work under pressure, organise and prioritise tasks
• Provide training, motivation and leadership to the teams including team members drawn from other parts of the organisation
• Demonstrate ability to manage corporate training programmes
• Have an in-depth experience of managed Training Service operations desirable
• Demonstrate proven successful management of operational performance against stringent KPIs
• Potentially have experience of implementing and managing a supply chain across multiple suppliers

• Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant industry experience
