Job purpose: The HR Business Partner is accountable for managing HR activities within allocated franchise / functional groups to enable them to achieve their current and future business objectives. The HR Business partner will be responsible for supporting change management according to the function’s strategies and planning. The key aims of the HR Business Partner are to: • Help drive business objectives and strategy within allocated franchise / functional groups • Provide proactive HR support by utilising internal data /external trends to deliver HR expertise and service to optimise business strategy • Establish strong working relationships with the business through a customer focused approach • Collaborate effectively with internal HR colleagues to support the development of the HR agenda to include programmes, processes and policies that aid the required level of capabilities to meet business demands Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement HR activities / priorities and to encourage / support the promotion of HR activities • Ensure HR plans, programmes and policies are implemented effectively within the business in order to support current and future needs and are tailored to take into account any local requirements. • Ensure that customer/business strategy is incorporated into HR policies and programmes so they are delivered in a customer centric way. • Provide fast and appropriate HR solutions for the allocated functional group’s needs, setting the priorities according to their strategies and planning. • Develop relationships with key stakeholders within the business to understand the business objectives and utilise HR expertise to develop our people strategy according to these needs and individual capabilities. • Partner with business leaders to support recruitment, on-boarding, talent management and succession planning of the associates within their function. • Coach / support people managers to develop people management/leadership skills and a culture of high performance, constructively challenging as appropriate. • Collaborate with other UK, and where appropriate Regional HR Business Partners, and peers to develop integrated solutions and share best practice and knowledge. • Ensure effective HR and payroll administration working in partnership with the UK shared service is knowledgeable on concepts of employment regulations and law and is able to manage complex ER cases. • Leads/ facilitate HR activities across allocated functional groups such as performance calibration / talking talent process to actively participate and, where appropriate, lead ad -hoc HR projects.
