Our Practices provide traditional GP and nurse-led services for both registered and non-registered patients. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Swindon Group of Practices as a Practice / Treatment Room nurse. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in Primary Care or be willing to undergo further training. Desirable skills required include chronic disease management, childhood immunisations, assisting in minor surgery, cytology, family planning and treatment room skills.



The role details are:


Annual salary of up to £34,000
NHS Pension
Up to 37.5 hours per week –8.30-17.00 Monday to Friday
27 days annual leave + bank holidays + negotiated hours for study leave
Up to 50 hours free CPD which can be achieved online via Blue Stream

Working within established General Practices
Additional/enhanced services or treatments/clinics offered in surgeries
Working with diverse clinical teams including GP’s, ANP , NP , Paramedics and HCA .
SystmOne IT system used



You’ll be a motivated team-player with a passion for delivering excellent patient care. You will also require NMC registration, experience of mentoring other nurses, primary care experience, delivery of specific services including travel health by providing comprehensive advice to patients prior to travel; including vaccinations and medicines, safe sex, food hygiene, sun protection, offer advice about childhood and adult vaccinations and ensure vaccines are administered under patient group directives.

Able to document consultations according to NMC guidelines.
