The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care and treatment for service users with challenging and complex needs, in order to enable their recovery and re-engagement with the community.Experience:Essential -Minimum three years experience of working with families using Family Systemic (this can be as a systemic practitioner) approaches; in Child Mental health settings or equivalent.A team player with a proven ability to function within a multi-disciplinary setting and work closely with other professional colleaguesDesirable -Experience of working in an inpatient environmentExperience of working with patients with severe mental health problems, such as psychotic illness, severe mood /anxiety disorders, severe self harm. Experience of working with a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse.Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:Essential:Post-graduate qualification in relevant mental health/social welfare professionCompletion of Masters/diploma level qualification in Family Therapy/ Systemic & Family Psychotherapy or equivalent.Evidence of continuing professional development.Knowledge of relevant legislation & ethical issues. Ability to work with families from culturally diverse communities in different contexts.Skills in communicating effectively, orally and in writing. .Eligibility for UKCP registration.Desirable:A commitment to evaluation and ability to develop appropriate clinical outcome measures.Experience of providing clinical supervision of other Professionals who are delivering a Systemic Family Therapy assessment and package of care.Ability to teach and train othersSufficient knowledge of other modalities to engage appropriately with colleagues and their work with clients.Basic IT skills.Personality Characteristics:Ability to work autonomously, setting appropriate goals in accordance with professional ethics guidelines and the Priory Cheadle Royal Hospital policies.Other :Essential -Prepared to work some evening/weekend sessions.Desirable -Able to driveAbout usFrom education to hospitals, care homes and secure facilities, the Priory Group of Companies offers individually tailored, multidisciplinary treatment programmes for those with complex educational needs or requiring acute, long-term and respite mental healthcare.The integrated strength of each service provides a seamless transition for the individual as they progress between higher and lower dependency care and across services.
