In this role you will be responsible for optimising the design of all Clothing & Home (C&H) warehouses, maximising efficiency and technology.

Key accountabilities and measures
•Design optimum layouts and operational flows for each distribution centre within the M&S Clothing and Home network
•Establish productivities associated with new operational processes to allow for more transparent budgeting
•Establish warehouse constraints and pinch points and model operational flows allowing for improved understanding of site capabilities
•Work with engineering to establish site operational and capability models. Complete what if scenario analysis to ensure warehouse solutions are robust
•Act as subject matter expert when reconfiguring and relaying warehouses as the network evolves
•Continually assess product, stock holding and storage layouts to ensure maximum efficiency
•Identify and drive productivity improvements, working with the CI Managers and Operations Managers to ensure warehouses are optimised

•Continuous Improvement Managers

Technical skills/business skills required
•Warehouse design experience including associated modelling (E.g. CLASS modelling)
•Process design including establishment of productivities by function based upon SMV for each discreet task
•Understanding of warehouse technologies and automation
•Good knowledge of warehouse operating models and IT solutions
•Industrial engineering experience
•Strong data analysis and numerical reasoning
