R13 recruitment are partnering a highly reputable and prestigious software provider in their recruitment for an experienced QA Software Test Lead to become fully involved in the development planning, execution and continuously improvement of the QA and testing processes as the business grows. The organisation has become highly established within their field, providing their popular service on a national scale.

This role would be especially suited to anyone both looking at taking a lead in QA across the business as well as being involved in strategy, culture change and innovation as we grow with Engine's launch later this year.

Your duties will include:
* Working as part of a Scrum team to design, create and test solutions for enhancements and bugs.
* Analysing user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Designing and creating functional and non-functional tests in collaboration with other team members.
* Investigation and analysis of bugs found during and after solution development to understand their source and realise potential solutions.
* Review and improve team working practices and advise on functional and non-functional tests.
* Mentoring other testers in the business to build confidence in their abilities, facilitate independent thinking and improve testing processes / methods which are in-line with the product and test strategies.
* Working with Beta customers to identify user acceptance testing practices which encourage feedback that benefits the Engine product.
* Designing, implementing and improving the test strategy used by all development teams, in collaboration with all team members.
* Identifying and keeping up to date with new testing tools and methods which are suitable for an Agile organisation and communicating them to the development teams.
* Championing the testing strategy to improve understanding of the role and the value of functional and non-functional, automated and non-automated testing to the entire business.
* Working with other chapters and guilds across the business to help align all strategies together to enable the business to work as one.

You will:
* Have an ISTQB/ISEB qualification or equivalent experience.
* Have the ability to analyse theoretical and actualised solutions with experience of creating test strategies.
* Have experience of creating automated functional or UI tests and maintaining them.
* Hold experience of running and analysing functional tests.
* Possess an understanding of Visual Studio Team Services or Visual Studio (including Test Manager)
* Display experience of manual and automation testing techniques and methodologies.
* Be experienced to create, run, analyse and maintain the results of security or load tests.
* Have experience of leading projects and mentoring other development team members.
* Understand the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) specifically Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
* Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
* Potentially have a good understanding of Dynamics 365 and be Scrum Alliance or Scrum .org certified would be desirable, but not essential.

An impressive employment opportunity, working full time – Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (37.5 hours per week) with a competitive salary offered. This position is based at company head offices in North Norwich, but could involve occasional travel if required.
