We currently working with a large, international manufacturer based in Sheffield with their search for a Finance Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast paced business who can offer a challenging and progressive career.

This is a great opportunity to join a business who are growing through acquisition and have demonstrated the ability to progress the careers of individuals within the team. This position has come up due to a recent internal promotion.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Analyst and working within the Financial Planning and Analysis team your role will be split between Project Accounting and Business Partnering.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

-Be an effective partner to the business, providing support, challenge, expertise and a clear framework as appropriate
-Partner with the Commercial team by providing financial information and interpretation, undertaking proactive analytical and other investigations, contributing to developing a better understanding of the business and improving operational performance.
-Provide expert accounting, reporting and all necessary financial expertise for the sector.
-Balance sheet and cash flow forecasting
-Work with contract management to ensure that plans, budgets and forecasts for the contract are both challenging and achievable.
-Partner with the contracts to shape and manage performance KPI's.
-Manage the delivery of all financial processes to their BU.
-Provide proactive input into contract negotiations and contract decision making initiatives.
-Intervene where required to support compliance and alignment objectives.
-Drive for value at the bottom line, with a focus on revenue enhancement / protection and on cost saving opportunities.
- As part of a team support the business with projects which will include; driving business performance, systems implementation, potential due diligence work and any other requirements that the business deems necessary.

Suitable applicants will:

-You will have some experience in a relevant role, however it will be expected that the successful candidate will train into the role.
-Be part qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA Qualified. Candidates who are not studying but have relevant experience will also be considered.
-Be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a large, fast paced environment.
-Stakeholder management experience or will the ability to liaise at this level is a pre-requisite.
-Have business partnering experience and will be able to demonstrate the ability to influence decision making.
-Have excellent systems skills and will be an advanced Excel user.
-ERP systems management experience.
