Arthur Jackman Associates are working with an exemplary Leicestershire SME Company who have clients all over the UK. They have asked for our expertise in locating a new Financial Controller to join them.

This company requires a Senior Finance Professional who is capable of working with Management who are Finance and Non-Finance ensuring that everyone understands the ‘bigger picture’. Furthermore, you will be a hands Manager, working with the Finance team to ensure that all is done on time and to budget.

This is one of those unique opportunities that do not come around very often.

Role: Financial Controller

Location: Leicestershire

Salary: £Excellent Base Salary + Strong Benefits

• Leading, mentoring, training & developing Finance Team
• Managing weekly and monthly financial activities, including forecasting, planning and reporting
• Monitoring compliance
• Production of timely management accounts and board reports
• Tight control over cash flow and working capital of the business
• Ownership of the budget and forecasting process
• Maintaining robust internal controls and financial reporting procedures
• Sales ledger/Purchase ledger
• Responsible for VAT and Corporate Tax reporting
• Working alongside the Executive Management Team to assist in meeting commercial objectives
• KPI reporting and monitoring
• Significant input into strategic planning and business development

• A fully qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• A confident communicator, able to work at pace within fast growth SME
• Able to demonstrate an ability to manage a finance team
• Able to build rapport with operational stakeholders and understand the key drivers of the business
• A technically sound accountant who can take full ownership of all accounting responsibilities
• An outgoing individual, able to drive the business forward and encourage an improvement in processes
