As an Area Manager at Hobbycraft you are accountable for all aspects of the Stores operation and performance within your area. Delivering customer service excellence that encourages repeat visits, expanding our customer base and delivering a truly Craftastic experience in an exciting, engaging environment is key to our continued success. You will excel at building efficient, effective high performing teams while developing through living our brand values.

The Role-

You provide inspirational leadership, always leading by example, recognising talent and appreciate your team's hard work.

You make commercial decisions that improve KPI performance.

You are a clear communicator to your team and you understand what is happening in the company.

You deliver excellent standards your team are clear on what good looks like and how to achieve it, including Stock, Merchandising and "Genesis" principles.

You ensure all appropriate legislation is adhered to at all time by ensuring compliance with company policy and Health & Safety regulations.

Candidate Profile

A proven track record of management experience including commercial awareness, budgetary control, recruitment, succession planning, colleague development and excellent customer service delivery within a retail or similar environment. Very strong organisational skills.

Good inter-personal and communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to manage your own time to meet deadlines. The ability to inspire success within your team.

Management of multiple (excess of 10) stores in an Area / Regional capacity

Experience in "Specialist" Retail Park trading

Confident and professional individual who is a truly inspirational leader.

Calm and resilient, able to work well under pressure. Able to work with own initiative, and able to cope with changing priorities.

Ability to maintain a positive, professional and flexible approach and be willing and able to adapt to change when required

Would not suit someone that needs lots of supervision, is unable to plan and cope with varying workloads and priorities, or manage others.

Education/ Qualifications

Good standard of education is required and a proven track record of success within a management role.

No specific qualifications are essential for the role.
