Dean Healthcare are delighted to be recruiting Domestic Assistants for one of our well-established clients in South Oxford.You will be working in a modern, 66 bed residential home.The role is working 30 hours per week, on a rota basis, and may include weekends.As part of a dedicated team you will provide a comfortable, safe and hygienic environment for residents and staff.Experience is desirable but your respect for older people and willingness to undertake training is more important. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:To maintain cleanliness and general tidiness of residents rooms, bathrooms, offices and communal areas including carpet cleaning as designated by line manager.When required to enter residents' private rooms for the performance of domestic duties, to respect the opinion, privacy and dignity of the residents.Ensure that all cleaning equipment is used and maintained correctly and that it is stored in a safe and clean condition.Report any faulty equipment, defects or hazards in the Home to your line manager.Report any damage caused to furnishings, fittings, residents' property, or the structureof the building during duty to your line manager.Work to a rolling 7-day rota as required which will include weekends.Assist with the induction of new staff, in accordance with the induction policy.Attend and participate in staff meetings.Understand and adhere to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations inmaterials and ensuring they are used and stored safely.accordance with the H& S Manual including keeping adequate supply of cleaningAttend and participate in regular supervision and appraisal.Be aware of and adhere to the organisation's Health and Safety Policy and Food SafetyManual.Be aware of and adhere to the organisation's policies as contained in the EmploymentPolicies and Procedures Manual.There may be a requirement to travel to Regional, Head Office or other locations for Domestic Assistant, and the post holder is expected to carry out other reasonableduties as required by the Line Manager.This is not a complete description of the duties and responsibilities of the post ofthe purpose of meetings or training relevant to your job.The salary for this role is £12,589pa For more information on this role, or any other, please call Donna Cook on 07814128727INDSOUTH
