John Edwin is a recruitment and staffing company providing a specialist service to public and private sector organisations in the health and social care sectors nationwide.We are recruiting to a temporary Commissioning Manager for the Children's Commissioning Team to cover a period of maternity leave for 6 months. This post will lead the Commissioning Services team and the successful candidate will need to ensure that the services we commission are of a high quality and focus on making sure that children in Wirral are happy, safe and achieving. Whilst the post is to cover an existing role there is an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to lead the ongoing service development required to embed a robust and quality Commissioning Service for the Department. The applicant will provide leadership and support to all aspects of the commissioning cycle for children, young people and family services. The post holder will lead on the development of a Commissioning Strategy to support the service delivery whilst identifying and implementing service improvements to strengthen the team and build the engagement with providers and stakeholders. The post holder will also need to be adept at assessing and providing solutions to improving enabling functions and the definition of processes to underpin the service delivery. Effective communication at all levels will be an essential requirement of the successful candidate. Children's Commissioners work closely with colleagues in health, education, social care and across the voluntary, community sector to ensure we use resources as effectively as possible. You will also work with commissioning colleagues from the Liverpool City Region. This is an exciting leadership role within the newly established team and will contribute to the continued growth of children's commissioning in Wirral. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to demonstrate experience in leading an improving commissioned services to reduce risk and improve outcomes. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate an ability and drive for effective improvement as well as leaders at all levels within the structure, those who are flexible in their thinking and are comfortable working in fast paced and evolving environment.
