Job Type: Full time post, permanent role.Hours: 37.5 hours per week.Shift Pattern: 5 hour shifts - 8am to 8:30pm or 8pm to 8:30am (Rotation and flexibility required for days, nights and weekends)Salary: £39,174 to £45,419 per annum plus 9% shift enhancementBenefits: Mentorship programme training, structured career development, funded courses, health and well-being support system, pension, private medical cover and much more.Duties:Effectively manage and develop a nursing team and provide professional and clinical leadership in the delivery of high quality, safe, cost effective care of patients, families and staffWork across the clinical area with nurses on a one to one/group basis to develop and enhance clinical skills and practiceDeputise for the ward sister to ensure appropriate senior cover at all timesAssume responsibility, as delegated by the Matron for the management of both human and financial resources within the ward in an effective and efficient mannerUse clinical expertise and works in a collaborative way to extend the role of nursing to meet the needs of the patient, carer and familyActs as a role model to develop and encourage harmonious working relationships and professional rapport within the department and with other disciplines, departments and external agenciesAdopt a team leadership style that motivates and empowers ward staff in attaining and developing high standards of patient care and professional developmentManage clinical risk by ensuring all nurses take individual responsibility for the assessment of patient care needs and the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care within the wardSkills:Registered General Nurse with full NMC registrationExperience in the field of OncologyChemotherapy trainedExperience of mentoring and managing change TFS Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, age, sexuality, gender identification, or physical ability.TFS Healthcare will make reasonable adjustments and provide support for anyone who needs it either to apply or to succeed in the role.
