Sewell Wallis are recruiting in the Sheffield area for an Assistant Management Accountant. This particular business is large and well established but pride themselves on having an accounts department which is both efficient and close knit.

You will be working with the management team to produce effective management accounts.

Your duties will include:

-Prepare monthly management accounts for subsidiary company within 5 working days of month end and be proactive in improving the management information that is produced
-Prepare KPI's on a weekly basis
-Balance Sheet Reconciliation
-Manage contracts and take a lead role in ensuring that invoices and purchase orders are raised when needed
-Support production of budgets
-Prepare the daily cash flow
-Forecast cash payments on the daily cash flow
-Control the collection of Direct Debits
-Prepare and maintain the fixed asset register
-Maintain and reconcile intercompany balances / control accounts
-Control Petty Cash
-Provide cover in the payroll department where necessary
-Assist the Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts
-Ad hoc reporting

The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

-Must have a AAT level 4
-Management Accounts Preparation (essential)
-Purchase Ledger / Sales Ledger experience
-Cash Forecasting
-Bank Reconciliations
-Evidence of working on own initiative
-Use of Microsoft Excel / Outlook / Word
-Use of Microsoft Great Plains Accounting Software
