Sellick Partnership is recruiting for a CCAB Qualified Deputy Director of Finance on a 6 month fixed term contract. As Deputy Director of Finance, you'll play a significant and high profile strategic leadership role across the organisation; so you need the confidence and self-motivation to inspire, innovate and lead, focusing our resources on what matters most.

With the organization reviewing a long-term approach to finances, this means that they are investing in what really matters to the local community. This role offers candidates the chance to make the vision a reality. Finance is recognised as a key function for the whole organisation, so from day one you'll be leading and driving the financial strategy, making sure the organisation remain innovative and creative in the response to the challenging financial climate.

The post entails

1 Supporting the organisations financial strategy, efficiency plan in light of the public sector reform
2 Lead on the development of a programme approach to the development and monitoring of corporate savings plans
3 Work with system wide colleagues to lead on the financial input to the locality plan
4 Develop a strategic approach to assure the organization and manage the governance and risk around the Health and Social care integration
5 Attendance at key development workshops, finance and governance task and finish groups to start planning delivery and assurance, and to understand how and when significant organisational/locality stakeholder decisions are made
6 Supporting the development of "pooled" funding and appropriate financial risk management/risk sharing arrangements
7 Development of a Traded Services strategy - Support the implementation of a longer term vision and business delivery model to support Traded Services
8 Blank page individual service re-design, business development, financial modelling and pricing strategies for school services including packaged service offers, to ensure consistency, quality, viability and sustainability
9 Identification and differentiation of the compliance and service delivery roles, and design of an internal consultant/business partner approach to supporting delivery
10 Development, implementation and leadership of a Traded Services project delivery group
11 Review and develop/update any business cases to support the rationalisation where appropriate on estate projects
12 Review the impact of the above on infrastructure requirements including IT and public interfacing areas
13 To Support the development of commercial approaches to new initiatives to deliver efficient and value for money services, including

* developments around income generation
* unit costing approaches to services, linking data, performance and finance

The successful individual will be fully qualified and possess a commercial outlook and experience of wider strategic thinking and delivery. They must be a self-starter and able to work under their own initiative.
