My client is a leading business with their head office ideally situated in North West Leicestershire.

Due to internal promotion they now have a vacancy for an experienced Payroll Professional to join the HR / Payroll Team.

Whilst you will work as part of a broader HR team, this position is largely stand alone where you will be responsible for managing a monthly payroll of up to 2000 multi site employees.

Aside from the business as usual payroll responsibilities, my client is also looking for a candidate that is happy to play a key role in broader projects, improving and streamlining Payroll Process and Systems.

Key Knowledge:

• Sound knowledge of Payroll Legislation to Include Tax, NI, SSP, SMP, SPP etc.
• Ability to work with broader HR Team, processing starters / leaders and associated documentation
• Knowledge of managing hours via Time and Attendance System, calculating Overtime, shift allowances, bonus payments
• Payroll and Tax Year end to include P11D’s and P60’s
• Reporting and Analysis and reviewing KPI’s using MS Excel and Payroll systems

The applicant should have previous payroll experience, ideally in weekly or monthly payrolls upwards of 500 employees and have an interest in studying towards CIPP if not already qualified.

Experience gained on managing hours via a T&A System is also preferred.
