Our client is a successful independent pharma and healthcare communications agency that is based in Cheshire. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Medical Writer to join their team. In this role, you will provide a high-quality medical writing service to clients across a broad range of project types (meetings, publications, medical information projects, commercial projects, and advocacy development projects) and therapy areas. Working closely with clients, you will build strong relationships with them and contribute towards them fulfilling their communication, marketing and strategic objectives. Responsibilities: Research, write, edit and review a broad range of materials for medical and marketing pharmaceutical clients Take ownership of the editorial component of multiple projects and act as the primary editorial contact for the account team for these Provide scientific advice, expertise and consultancy in areas of main strength, both internally and for external stakeholders Contribute to business development activities for existing and new clients as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: PhD and excellent undergraduate life science degree Previous commercial and scientific writing and reviewing experience in a medical communications agency required Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead a small project team and mentor junior members Experience of a wide range of project types and different media Excellent project/time-management and organisational skills Excellent attention to detail Good knowledge of several therapeutic areas, medical products and the pharmaceutical industry Keen budgetary awareness; ability to contribute to budgeting and proposal development Understanding of the current regulatory environment within the pharmaceutical industry As our client is a successful and small agency, they are able to offer a wide variety of job opportunities that are tailored to individual members of the team.
