Russell Oakley is currently recruiting for a Scientific Project Manager for a large Pharma company based in the Cambridgeshire region. The project relates to project managing the implementation and roll-out of Data Access Policy (new process for internal re-use of clinical data & possibly also other data sources such as genetic data). This process is applicable across all the company science-units and there are many components that need to be managed and defined (process, communication, policy & standards, training and change management)Extensive and demonstrative PM experience would be helpful and it is advantageous if you have worked in the pharmaceutical industry. Most important factors for success in this role is PM experience (further details below) and the ability to work collaboratively in a global environment rather than many years of experience in pharmaceutical industry if there is a trade-off. Skills & Expertise· Proven experience as a Project Manager · Good understanding of project management techniques and methods· Good leadership and organizational skills· Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability· Post-graduate qualification in a scientific, medical, technological or life sciences subject or equivalent · Experience in the pharmaceutical industry working in the clinical information arena and clinical development processes is a plusKey Focus area· Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders· Effectively communicate project expatiations to the team members in effective manor · Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing bases · Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders· Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools· Track project Milestones and deliverables· Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management· Develop and control deadlines and prepare progress reportsLocation & type of contract· Location: On-site in Herts/Cambridgeshire office· Full-time · Contractor (6 months)Please note that your CV should show exact dates of employment (month and year) and any gaps of a month or more should be explained.
