Ward Manager - Band 7 - Medicine- Up to £41k, North Bristol
We currently have a permanent opportunity for a dedicated, passionate and inspiring Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional to manage Elgar 2 - one of our reablement wards.
We are seeking a leader who can support and continue to build a confident, high quality and caring team who are experts in their field. You will be responsible for championing and guiding a diverse range of nursing and allied health care staff whilst working alongside other multi-disciplinary colleagues.
As part of the Leadership Team within the Hospital, key responsibilities include the human resource and financial management of the ward. You will ensure the service is covered by appropriate rostering and skill mix, facilitate multi-disciplinary team working and monitor/participate in patient care provision. You will work with the team to insure that both therapy resources and social care resources within the team are used to optimum benefit for the patient experience and outcomes.
You will be based in Southmead Hospital, North Bristol, Band 7, with salary from £31,696 to £41,787 per annum (AFC Band 7) + excellent NHS benefits.

THE ROLE – As a Band 7 manager, you will provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership to our reablement ward, Elgar 2. Key duties to include-

Proven interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to handle complex communications
Significant leadership and managerial experience with an ability to demonstrate experience in multi-disciplinary team working
Experience of managing complex workloads and competing priorities

YOU- The successful candidate will be-

Registered Nurse or Allied Health Care Professional with current registration
Good leadership skills and a track record of managing change and implementing new developments
A Teaching/Mentoring qualification
