Scrub PractitionerHampshireFull TimeSalary up to £29,000Our client has an opportunity for a Scrub Practitioner to join their multidiscplinary theatre team in the hospital based in Hampshire. They only treat NHS patients and they are focused on providing the best possible, personalised care to the people of Somerset. Our client offers a range of treatments and also provide diagnostic services, using the latest MRI, ultrasound and plain film x-ray technology.Key Responsibilities:As a Scrub Practitioner, you will be expected to actively participate in and maintain the highest standard of care and safety for patients, visitors and staff in the operating theatre suite Key duties will be:- Being competent in all aspects of anaesthetic technique and procedures- Maintaining accurate clinical observation of the patient's clinical condition and alerting medical staff when required- Assisting in ensuring that the department is at all times clean and organised with sufficient supplies and equipment which are correctly cleaned, in working order and correctly stored- Monitoring theatre procedures with regards to checking of swabs, needles and instrumentsSkills & Experience To be successful in the role, you will have: -Relevant theatre experience as a scrub practitioner-Evidence of competence as a scrub practitioner-Knowledge of current research, key issues and development in theatre practice -Knowledge of Health & Safety/Risk Management within the operating department Qualifications-NMC Registered Nurse Part 1 or HCPC Registered ODPIn return you will receive a competitive salary and Benefits package which includes:25 Days paid Annual leave Bank holidaysDefined Contribution Pension scheme up to 4.5% matched by employerPrivate Medical insuranceLife AssuranceChildcare VouchersBi-annual health ScreeningFamily and Friends Discount on serviceFor more information and or to apply please call Jenna O'Rourke on 01489 774208 and or email jenna.orourke@appointgroup.co.uk
