A private healthcare provider of secured mental health services requires an experienced Hospital Manager suitable for looking after their new Acquired Brain Injury Service opening in the East Midlands area (40 beds).


Nottingham/Leicester/Derby


The requirement is that the successful person will have 5 years experience of working in ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) and commissioning new services.


Role - Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological


As Acquired Brain Injury Manager you will be fully responsible for ensuring the quality of care remains at the highest level and that hospital meets all regulated standards. Continuous development of the hospital and through service development and staff training is essential.
•Full Budget management responsibility
•Operational Management
•Managing multi-disciplinary teams
•Business Development
•Networking and relationship building with local NHS purchasers, GPs and local authorities


You will manage strong teams of consultant psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, registered nurses, social workers, teachers, therapists and clinical support staff have all been specially selected for their experience, their skill, and their dedication to providing first-class care for each service user.


Experience


You will have an excellent track record in managing specialist healthcare services with experience of working with people with Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological.
It's not essential that you have a clinical background as the ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background with experience of running a successful healthcare facility.
Candidate Specification


• First class knowledge of the National Care Standards
• First class knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983
• Knowledge of local / national agenda with evidence of a
• Evidence of the impact these have on nursing practice
• Degree level education
• To have a broad based knowledge of current trends
• Knowledge of PSI




Experience


• Minimum 3 years post registration experience or evidence of the same. Experience in acute,
• rehabilitation or forensic psychiatry.
• Previous management / supervisory experience
• Evidence of functioning in a substantive role as a clinician in a mental health setting within a
• multi disciplinary team.
• Evidence of Post Registration Development.
• Evidence of managing a team within a Private Facility.
• Forensic and/or secure experience
• Team management skills including appraisal, disciplinary and grievance.
• Proven ability and experience to manage and resolve crisis and conflict within the workplace.
• Evidence of highly developed skills in the assessment, planning, implementation and
• evaluation of multi disciplinary programmes of care for the patients group.
