Our mission is to deliver exceptional experiences for the patients treated in hospitals throughout the UK – and to do that, we need exceptional people.BMI Healthcare’s Hendon Hospital in London has a vacancy for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in Outpatients for Health Assessment.This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.The department is opened from 9am to 2pm.Applicants should meet the following criteria:Experienced Registered NurseRegistered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing. OrRegistered Nurse Level 2 - Relevant Competencies for the role.Evidence of relevant clinical professional development preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.Excellent clinical applied knowledge which is evidenced based and takes account of national best practice standards.Mentorship Qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent).Basic workload / shift management skills.Strong post registration experience Experience in delivering health assessments – DesirableExperience in providing health education and lifestyle coachingExperience in administering travel vaccinations and immunisationsCompleted Anaphylaxis training relevant to vaccinations and immunisationsDuties of this role include: Complete all health assessments listed within the HEALTHFIRST portfolio of services, Primary, Essential, Select, Advanced and Advanced Deliver a range of individual tests which may support health assessments for the local market, working in conjunction with the HEALTHFIRST national account teamProvide a high quality, safe and effective level of care to allocated clients/patients without direct supervisionOffer a high standard of practical assessment techniques related to the specific tests within the various health assessmentsMaintain the daily quality assurance controls related to all of the health assessment equipmentMonitor daily stock, order and review levels of consumables for all health assessmentsMaintain the quality standard of all health assessments and participate in the monthly governance and audit processEnsure that appropriate systems for the recording and distribution of information relating to patient charges are maintained.
