Job Overview Manage Capital Projects which may include major projects with multi-disciplinary project teams by developing the design, cost estimates and schedules for individual Projects assigned by the Engineering Manager, continue with the detailed design, procurement and installation works and finally participate in assisting with the commissioning and validation works of the Project. The successful candidate will own their Projects from inception through to installation, commissioning and handover. You will form an integral part of a small dynamic team delivering value and performance to its customer and helping the Business to grow. Responsibilities Provide conceptual design; prepare cost estimates, support detail design and procurement for varied Projects on site. Liaise with the customer, Maintenance & Facilities Department, Production and Scientific Personnel at all levels. All Project works to be undertaken within the agreed Budget, Timescale, Quality and Performance Criteria and in accordance with the recognised Environmental Health and Safety requirements along with cGMP, Corporate Standards and local operating procedures. Develop practical, cost effective engineering designs taking full account of the numerous competing factors – technical, operational and economic. Communicate clearly with Project Team, the customer and department team members. Requirements & Qualifications A degree or professional qualification in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering; preferably a Chartered Engineer, Member of an Engineering Institution. Solid Project Engineering experience, with specific experience of The Pharmaceutical Industry. Conversant with cGMP Relevant HSE training; including Hazardous Area Classification, ATEX/DSEAR Regulations and awareness of current CDM Regulations and its application. Terms of Employment Working hours will be based around a standard 36 hour week. There may be exceptions to this rule, to meet the business requirements. What makes this position unique?
