Your new job working as a Marine Cargo Placing Broker will be working for a growing Independent specialist Lloyd's Brokers who have an prominent intentional presence. Your new Brokers are young, innovative Marine Market leaders and understand the importance of being client-focused. Your new Brokers are growing in all classes of Marine and believe in growth from within. Due to substantial growth within the Cargo Book, they now have a permanent opportunity for an all encompassing Marine Cargo Placing Broker to join their growing team.


Your new role


Your new all encompassing role as a Marine Cargo Placing Broker means you will be responsible for Broking Cargo Risks into Lloyd's of London, company and overseas markets. As an all encompassing position, you will be required to negotiate competitive terms with Underwriters when placing complex Cargo risks, producing and preparing all documentation to include; MRC slips and endorsements and be responsible for all aspects of client servicing. Your new role is very much cradle to grave broking through managing wholesale clients assessing their needs and producing the necessary documentation accordingly. The successful candidate will be required to work on a global book of business with lots of involvement with a growing US client base. You will be confident in your communication with both clients and underwriters and be able to negotiate competitive terms effectively.



What you'll need to succeed
You will have solid experience of placing complex Cargo risks into both Lloyd's and company markets and have the ability to build and maintain good business relationships with clients, insurers and underwriters. You will be highly literate and numerate and have experience of undertaking an all-encompassing role; placement, client servicing and be able to produce all relevant documentation to include; MRC slips. You would ideally have progression towards professional qualifications. Your previous experience in a similar role Placing and producing all classes of Cargo risks will demonstrate your ability to priorities workloads and ability communicate well within a team. Your excellent planning, time management and organisation skills alongside your drive and motivation will allow you to adapt well into a diverse and growing team.



What you'll get in return
