Your new job working as an all-encompassing Marine Cargo Broker, will be working for an innovative and growing Independent Global Lloyd's Brokers who have been established for over 100 years. Due to substantial growth within the Marine Cargo division a permanent position for an all-encompassing Marine Cargo Placing Broker has arisen.
Your new role
Your new job working as an all-encompassing Marine Cargo Placing Broker means you will be responsible for Placing complex cargo risks into Lloyd's of London, company and overseas markets, client servicing and producing all necessary documentation. You will be able to negotiate competitive terms with Underwriters and be able to utilise your market knowledge to gain the most competitive rates. You will have a strong understanding of Marine Cargo risks, and be confident in dealing with complex Wholesale clients and understanding their Cargo needs. Your new role is very much cradle to grave broking; liaising with clients, assessing their needs, producing the paperwork and arranging their insurance accordingly to include MRC Slips and endorsements. In your new role as a Marine Cargo Placing Broker, there will be opportunity to travel as you will be required to work on a global book of business with lots of involvement with a growing US client base.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working in a Lloyd's Broker as an all-encompassing Marine Cargo Broker, where you have had a solid experience of Placing Cargo risks, servicing clients and producing technical documentation will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have excellent working knowledge of Marine Cargo risks and be confident when it comes to placing both new and renewal business and negotiate competitive terms with Underwriters accordingly. You will be able to maintain client relationships and be able to produce your own technical documentation to include; MRC Slips, Presentations and Endorsements. Your excellent planning, time management and organisation skills alongside your drive and motivation will allow you to adapt well into a diverse and growing team.
