Operations ManagerSomersetFull TimeSalary £45,000 - £60,000Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to join the team, to take operational responsibility for this private hospital in Somerset. This role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their career in hospital management.Our client offer flexible options for patients who can be referred by their GP or take advantage of our affordable self-pay packages. They are focused on providing the best possible, personalised care to the people of Bristol, Bath, North and North East Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.This hospital offer day case and in-patient surgery across the following areas: dental surgery, ear, nose and throat procedures, endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, minor orthopaedic surgery, diagnostic imaging, pain management, ophthalmology, and urology. In addition we also provide diagnostic services, using the latest X-ray and ultrasound technology. The other site we offer day treatments across the following areas: dental surgery, ear, nose and throat procedures, endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, joint replacements (outpatient assessment only), minor orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, and urology.Responsible ToHospital DirectorKey ResponsibilitiesA member of this hispitals Senior management team, you will be expected to be responsible for delivering the operational, strategic, and contractual requirements of the two units. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the management of non-clinical staff and service delivery, facilities and estates, and performance of sub-contractor agreements. They will also participate in the manager on-call rota.Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will have:- Experience gained in a healthcare environment- An understanding of governance and operating within national statutory frameworks e.g. Care Quality Commission (CQC)- Experience and evidence of effectively managing teams- Awareness of Risk Assessment/Risk Management- Experience of the management of budgets and an understanding of business and financial models- Experience of audit and regulatory inspections- The ability to work co-operatively with senior teams, external agencies and to develop effective working relationships- Experience of business development Desirable:- A working knowledge of referral to treat (RTT) and demand and capacity planningQualifications- Degree and / or an appropriate professional qualification or equivalent- Appropriate equivalent managerial experienceImportant InformationThe successful candidate must be able to travel between sites when required.For more information and or to apply please call Jenna O'Rourke on 01489 774208 and or email jenna.orourke@appointgroup.co.uk
