Deputy Manager - Knottingley
I am currently working on behalf of a small health and social care provider that is looking to appoint a Deputy Manager for their specialist residential service in Knottingley. The service supports people with complex needs including behaviour that may challenge and a learning disability, often in association with autism.My client is looking for a confident manager to support and deputise in all aspects of care provision for a residential service and ensure it adheres to all areas on the Key Lines of Enquiry with CQC. The role will involve staffing, budget and resource issues along with care planning and evaluation to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the clients is paramount.You'll need to have a person-centred approach that's driven by quality and focused on positive outcomes. You will be a skilled practitioner who is able to build effective professional relationships with our key internal and external stakeholders.Salary: £20,000 : 23,000 • The hours are 37.5 and will be mainly 9-5PM Monday to Friday although an essential part of the role will be to cover shift leader responsibilities on a rotational basis and, manage the home in the absence of the Service Manager. • You will also be required to share the on call responsibilities for the home and take part in the company manager's on-call rota which is currently one weekend in eight.For the Deputy Manager position you must have: • NVQL3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent • Experience of working at Team Leader or Deputy Manager level for at least a year • Experience of working with Learning Disabilities and complex needs • Knowledge of Mental Capacity Act • Good knowledge of the care standards/KLOE and safeguarding procedures • High expectations on delivery of person centred care, good standard of care writing, risk assessing and implementing change • Strong leadership skills and outstanding organisational skillsIf you are interested in this vacancy please send your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will give you a call.
