Nursing Home Manager Role
RGN or RMN Qualified – Registered Manager

We are looking to recruit a Registered Manager / Matron for a 40 bedded, award winning, privately owned nursing home in Lancashire.

This is a permanent position; It will be your responsibility to take charge of the day to day running of the nursing home. Clinical management will be shared with our Clinical Lead.
We are looking for a strong leader to manage the well established staff team and provide sound leadership to ensure that all staff are clear about their roles/duties and perform them in a safe manner.

We are looking for an experienced Nursing Home Manager with an RGN or RMN pin number, or a Registered Manager (Relevant Qualification Level 5) that has managed a Nursing home for a minimum of 4 years.
The Home provides general nursing care to both residential and nursing elderly residents.

Day-to-day management of the home:
Manage effectively and responsibly the day to day running of the home and to act as the person in charge.
Manage the effective recruitment, induction and training of the staff and identify ongoing training needs for staff.
Manage staffing off duties across all departments.
Manage staff absenteeism, sickness, disciplinary and grievance matters, conduct staff supervision/appraisals
Offer guidance/support to Clinical Lead & Deputy Manager.
Have knowledge of auditing and quality assurance.
Provide on call cover
Investigate complaints in accordance with CQC Guidelines, Company Policy and Procedure and take appropriate action
Have knowledge of CCG contractual duties, CQUIN and Safety Thermometer.
Liaise and co-operate with CQC inspectors and inspections
Work nursing shifts as and when required by the home (This will be in an emergency)
Inform and keep Owners up to date appropriately

Computer literate
Excellent communication skills with service users, their families, staff and other healthcare professionals
Maintain confidentiality all matters arising with staff and service users
Evidence of continuing professional development
Be approachable to staff, service users, relatives and owners
Willingness to work flexibly
Be supportive to the owners and make suggestions that will improve the effectiveness of the business.

This is a full time, permanent position and the salary £35K - £45K (35hrwk) is negotiable on experience, plus bonus paid for full occupancy levels.
