Required Must have proven experience within a Health Communication role OR as a Senior Account Manager Must have clear experience with people management – showing direct leadership capability Recognised and interpret health related and pharmaceutical issues High level of written and verbal communication skills, inclusive of reviewing different styles of materials and editing them where appropriate Helping to evolve other teams members through mentoring A competent understanding of the UK professional press and the working habits of Journalists An understanding of the publication planning process Confidently run creative and relevant meeting programmes With consideration to the position (Programme Director) you must have an clear enough understanding of new media/ IT to the point at which clients opinions of you remain credible Ability to work under pressure, consistently showing good decision making skills with high accuracy and quality of outputs Responsibilities Ensuring team members are working toward pre-agreed personal goals/objectives within the programme Delegation of roles and appropriation of all team members time across the variety of projects in which they are working To be held accountable for teams success as well as issues, when focusing on the latter you will work closely and sensitively to aid the resolve of these issues Keep an up-to-date and accurate record of all performance – team and project - highlighting issues and working toward stabilizing them Provide key strategic guidance to the client through analysing market environment, maintaining careful observation of projects being currently being worked – both medium and term Make certain that account team members are keeping an appropriate degree of contact with the client Accountability and ownership for the financial performance of the programmes, in proportion to the resources utilised within each specific project Take charge of negotiations of the fees with clients Monitor regularly income and profit VS projections and when targets are not met successfully ensure critical reviewing with the inclusion of a contingency plan (in discussion with senior management) Determine the optimal balance between the levels of service provided and the revenue taken, with the exploration of any imbalances of company personal resource vs fee income Stimulate the team and ensure importance of financial performance is widely recognised and understood, thus ensuring all tasks are completed in an accurate and timely fashion Making sure that, to the best of your ability, all of the team comply and work with all of the companies responsibilities in mind.
