TTM have an exciting opportunity to work in the Matrons office of one of London's prestigious private hospitals..
Our client is one of the oldest Hospitals, located in the heart of London, specialising in Medical and Surgical care. They have several units spanned across two prestigious areas of London focused on providing world-class treatment to their patients. They offer treatment across a range of medical and surgical interventions and are a specialist provider in Oncology care.
We are currently looking to a Senior Nurse, Band 7 and above to join the team at the hospital and work in the Matron's office as part of the operational management team.
Reporting into the Head of Nursing your role will involve providing site management and “out of hours” operational management along with implementing new policies and procedures as required. You will work closely with the Matron and Ward manager's in the development and implementation of these new policies and procedures that will help to improve the quality of service. You will act as a motivator to nursing staff and mentor and guide them, not only in their day to day, but also in modernisation and new ways of working. You will also work with different departments across the hospital negotiating action and change where necessary. Part of your role will involve co-ordinating and managing the hospitals emergency response to major disasters, fire, security alerts and untoward incidents and take part in various training surrounding these areas. As the lead nurse within the department a large part of your responsibility will include providing a clear focus for clinical, professional and operational leadership across clinical areas. You will be responsible for organising clinical briefings to encourage effective communication between all departments and act as an ongoing support to senior management.
To be suitable for this role you must have 5+years experience in an acute setting. Ideally 3+ of those years would have been spent working at Band 7 level or above. You will be required to have completed a mentorship course and ideally a management qualification or working towards one. From working at senior level you will have a good understanding of Clinical Governance and Risk Management along with Auditing, Benchmarking, CQC Framework and KLOE. As this role requires you to be involved with all departments you need to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be a good team player, understanding the importance of good communication across the departments.
