Team Profile:The Enterprise Network Services, Instrumental Engineering team islooking for an Instrumentation Engineer to join our higly technical teamin London. The team operates across 1300 locations in 43 countries andmanages several hundred additional client, exchange and market dataconnections. Role Profile:We are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to join our dynamic teamin London. The candidate will be responsible for engineering solutionswhich integrate different platforms in Voice and Network Instrumentation.The role requires proficiency in systems engineering with a goodknowledge of Unix and Windows, with scripting and programming skills andthe ability to use 3rd party API's and also the ability to create secureand well-crafted APIs.A familiarity with network devices, and the basic components ofenterprise voice systems (IP Telephony, Call Recording, Voice Mail andConferencing) is desired.Qualifications:Required Skills Ability to design and implement robust, supportable systems in a global environment. The use and understanding of source code repositories (e.g. git) and work tracking (e.g. Jira). Ability to communicate at the appropriate level with customers, engineers and management. Ability to work in a remote team. Good documentation skills both in code and outside (e.g. Wiki) for processes, and support procedures. Understanding of the need and purpose of well-structured logging. Working knowledge of SQL. Scripting Skills: Python, Perl, JavaScript. Programming Skills: Java Data Skills: Ability to analyse and correlate data from disparate sources. Familiarity with routers, switches and other network components from both a configuration and operational standpoint. Familiarity with Network Tooling and automation: Sevone, Spectrum, HPNA.Desirable Skills: Experience in a highly regulated industry and the need for change control, accountability and audit. Understanding data classification and sensitivity.
